French Engineer Domingo Companc, settles in the province of Santa Cruz and promotes the development of the railway and cattle, among other pioneering activities.

1946

Jorge Perez Companc, Doctor in Medicine and Carlos Perez Companc, Attorney at Law, found Perez COMPANC S.A SHIPPING COMPANY, transporting goods first, and later specializing in machinery and materials for the National Oil and Carbon Companies, Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales and Yacimientos Carboníferos Fiscales, as well as other Patagonian companies.

1956

The company creates “Establecimiento Forestal San Jorge” in the province of Misiones.

1959

Perez COMPANC becomes the first private oil company of the country.

Dr. Jorge Perez Companc dies.

1968

Perez COMPANC S.A. OIL COMPANY is born, providing natural gas and oil liquified gas exploitation services.

1972

First steps in the oil industry with the allocation of the “Catriel Oeste” contract with YPF.

1976

Perez COMPANC S.A. acquires the majority stake of SADE S.A., a link of General Electric, adding civil works and industrial mounts to its business. SADE was founded in 1947 by Vittorio Orsi, a well­-known Italian businessman.

1977

“25 de mayo­-Medanito S.E.”, “Piedra Clavada” and “El Cordón” contracts are signed with YPF.

Carlos Perez Companc dies and his brother, Jorge Gregorio Perez Companc, takes over the management of the company.

1978

SERVICIOS ESPECIALES SAN ANTONIO S.A., is created for the rental of oil industry tools, well cementing and stimulations services.

End of the 1970s

PECOM­-NEC, is born thought the association with Nippon Electric Corporation. Contracts are signed for the exploitation of the fields “Pampa del Castillo – La Guitarra” (province of Chubut) and “Koluel – El Valle” (province of Santa Cruz).

1981

PECOM NUCLEAR S.A., in association with the National Atomic Energy Commission form CONUAR, with the purpose to produce nuclear fuel for atomic electric power plants such as Atucha or Río Tercero.

1985

The company incorporates a new activity, petrochemicals, when it starts participating in PETROQUÍMICA CUYO S.A., a polypropylene manufacturer.

1985-1986

New areas are incorporated: “Al norte de La Dorsal” and “Anticlinal Campamento” in the Neuquén basin; “Piedras Coloradas – Estructura intermedia” in the province of Mendoza; and a participation in “Al sur de La Dorsal” in the province of Neuquén. Additionally, the company acquires: SIAM Electromechanical, SAN MARTIN S.A. CEMENT, participates in CARREFOUR ARGENTINA S.A. supermarkets and starts operating PUESTO HERNÁNDEZ; agribusiness is incorporated with ESTANCIAS REY S.A., giving birth to PECOM AGROPECUARIA S.A.

1992

Begins participation in Transportadora Gas del Sur, Metrogas S.A., Edesur S.A. and Refinería del Norte.

1993

OLDELVAL S.A. is managed and stocks are bought in TERMAP S.A., a company that loads crude oil produced in the San Jorge basin. An important participation is achieved in Refinería San Lorenzo.

1994

Perez COMPANC becomes the second oil producer of the country, with a 12.2% share of total production.

1998

Molinos food company is acquired.

1999

The company sells SADE to Skanska AB from Sweden, starting a disinvestment process of companies in the group.

2000

Sells operations of Servicios Especiales San Antonio S.A.

2002

Sells PeCom Energía to Petrobras, setting aside the crude oil and gas business and focusing on the food sector.

2014

Skanska AB decides to cease operations in the Latin American market, and sells its branches in Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Brasil, Peru and Colombia.

2015

PEREZ COMPANC acquires Skanska operations in Argentina to reenter the energy sector as service provider and PECOM SERVICIOS ENERGÍA is born.

2018

On August 1, the Company acquires TEL 3, an engineering, construction and services company, specialized in the development of projects in Energy and Telecommunications.

On October 1, the new brand PECOM and its slogan "Energy that makes difference” is launched.

On November 1, PECOM acquires Bolland, a national leading company in oil services, mechanical pumps and chemicals.
