The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide integral services based on digital communications that allow for greater efficiency in the oil & gas production in Vaca Muerta and the rest of the Neuquén basin.

Buenos Aires, 24 June, 2020.- PECOM and MOVISTAR have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide a series of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services in a joint and integrated manner with the construction of a new infrastructure in Vaca Muerta and the Neuquén basin, that reaches the provinces of Neuquén, Río Negro, La Pampa and Mendoza.

This MOU consolidates the bases for the study and the necessary agreements to provide integral services based on digital communications to obtain better efficiency in the oil & gas production in Vaca Muerta and the Neuquén basin.

The Project comprises investments and infrastructure works, the implementation of a fiber optic connectivity network, and coverage with LTE communications (Private Communications over public domain –known as 4G-, communications with high bandwidth, critical traffic, video, operation monitoring systems, and important data volume).

Likewise, it includes IoT Communications (Internet of Things, designed for the communication of any simple device, at a low cost and for the monitoring of non critical data), B2B and B2C data traffic, provision of network operation and maintenance services (FO and Macrocells), among other services intended for the oil fields in Vaca Muerta and the Neuquén basin.
